Mauricio Pochettino says Hugo Lloris will retain the club captaincy at Tottenham but warned the French World Cup victor he had been lucky to escape his drink-driving escapades with only a criminal conviction and a hefty fine. We are disappointed because we're going to miss him for this game and possibly Inter Milan but it is not a big issue'. "Of course, he doesn't feel great".

At least Son Heung-min is available again after helping South Korea win the Asian Games, which means he will be excused military service. All the women, men, people can make a mistake. Only we need to try [to ensure] that he understands and he understands that it was a mistake. He decided at the time to keep faith with the Frenchman as his captain but says Lloris was preparing himself for any and all punishments.

"It's not that I want to justify him, it's only because the period during the season always change. He is the first to tell me that he made a mistake, this is a lesson for everyone".

Ahead of Saturday's important clash with Liverpool at Wembley, he said: "I am learning a lot, because we arrive after two weeks [of the global break] and we didn't talk too much about Liverpool, and the most important thing is the game on Saturday".

President George Weah plays for Liberia in Nigeria friendly
Liberian football great, and the African country's president, George Weah has made his football comeback at the age of 51. If he wants to have some fun, he can invite his fellow ex-players to play an exhibition game.

"He's the first that told me: 'Gaffer it's a massive mistake and I need to pay, like a man'".

Pochettino also insists he has no concerns about the form of Harry Kane, who has made a sluggish start to the season after his World Cup exertions. I allowed him to go there. He has trained so hard and I am so happy with his evolution. "For us, you didn't know but all the things in the last four years that happened have been private and I think that we needed to deal with it privately".

The news is a bitter blow for boss Mauricio Pochettino, who was hopeful of selecting the pair for this weekend.

"Hopefully everything is going well and he can be back as soon as possible, like Dele".
