Saunders had been lined up to face Demetrius Andrade in a mandatory defence of his WBO world crown in the state of MA on October 20th to be shown live on DAZN & Sky Sports.

Saunders was denied a boxing license by the organisation on Tuesday after failing a voluntary drug test and will miss out on the chance to defend his WBO middleweight belt against Andrade in Boston on October 20.

On Tuesday, the Massachusetts State Athletic Commission voted to deny Saunders a license and the highly anticipated showdown was canceled.

Billy Joe Saunders.WBO President Francisco ‘Paco Valcárcel, Esq reacted on Billy Joe Saunders' public comments regarding his world title status: “B.J.

Kautondokwa's stable-mate Julius Indongo landed a World title clash at late notice and starched Eduard Troyanovsky inside a round in Russian Federation to win the IBF Super-Lightweight crown to crash into the elite, going on to face Terence Crawford for all the titles at 140lbs - and #2-rated WBO Middleweight Kautondokwa believes he can make the same impact at 160lbs. WADA, as mandated by the British Boxing Board of Control and, voluntarily, VADA at the request of the Promoter, not the MSAC. VADA prohibits it at all times.

The MASC responded to the VADA result after a voluntary test recorded an adverse finding for oxilofrine, a stimulant that is only banned in competition by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and UK Anti-Doping (UKAD). All that VADA do is conduct a test and report the results.

Mental health services are available for free on the NHS, while there are a number of helplines and charities that offer support. It's also possible for all staff to access the mental health support, not just those that are insured.

Walter Kautondokwa will now face "Boo Boo" Andrade at the TD Garden in Boston on October 20, live on DAZN. The substance they found in their test is prohibited by them, but under WADA it is allowed out of competition, which is up until the day before the fight. "The MSAC, in their decision to deny a license to Billy Joe, have wilfully refused to properly apply the code of WADA to their ruling".

Unlike the British Boxing Board of Control (BBB of C), the MSAC is a State appointed governing body and therefore the decision will be appealed and challenged in the Superior Court at the earliest opportunity.

The statement, which can be read below, added that Valcarel will be going to the WBO Executive Committee to talk about a possible six-month suspension for Saunders.

Billy Joe Saunders has relinquished his WBO middleweight title rather than launch an appeal with the organisation to keep it.

Speaking on Thursday, Saunders' promoter Warren said the commission had no grounds to deny him a license and that he plans to take the case to the Supreme Court.

I would also question why a hearing couldn't be convened until 11 days before the fight was due to take place, leaving little or no time for a satisfactory resolution to be reached.
