Nikki Haley is the GOP's best chance to win in 2020

While speaking to the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner in NY on Thursday, Haley told the crowd organizers had "wanted an Indian woman, but Elizabeth Warren failed her DNA test". Elizabeth Warren's heritage during a charity dinner Thursday.

"The President got really mad at Bob Woodward's book", she said.

Haley, 46, announced on October 9 that she is resigning from her United Nations post, effective at the end of the year.

"Actually when the president found that I was Indian-American, he asked me if I was from the same tribe as Elizabeth Warren", Haley added.

On the president's advice for Haley's speech: "He said if I get stuck for laughs, just brag about his accomplishments".

Indian-American Nikki Haley, the outgoing US Ambassador to the United Nations, has poked fun at President Donald Trump's inflated ego and his cultural ignorance, days after announcing that she would be leaving her position representing America at the world body.

During the dinner, Haley added that the "toxic political environment" has caused both parties to "describe their opponents as enemies or evil".

"In Syria, where the dictator uses chemicals weapons to murder innocent children, that is evil", the former Republican governor of SC said, adding, "In North Korea, where American student Otto Warmbier was tortured to death, that was evil".

"I expect to continue to speak out from time to time on important public policy matters, but I will surely not be a candidate for any office in 2020", she said following her announcement.

"In the last two years, I've seen true evil", Ms Haley continued. At one point, she turned serious and appeared to call out Trump's political antagonism.
