The future of Ramsey remains uncertain, though, with the Welsh midfielder out of contract at the end of the season and no closer to agreeing an extension with the club he has represented for 10 years.

Chelsea and Liverpool were believed to be the front runners for the 27-year-old star who has been impressive this season for Arsenal in all competitions.

Liverpool is being said as the most favourite destinations for Aaron Ramsey as Jurgen Klopp's interest in him is no more secret and given their failure to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon in the last summer's transfer window, this deal could get a green signal.

Aaron Ramsey's current contract at the Emirates stadium will expire next year May and the Gunners' chiefs have been trying to convince him to sign another deal.
