If you're in the market for a new phone right now, you have a tough choice to make: Apple's iPhone XR, or the GooglePixel 3? The phone runs Android Pie and will be available in black, clearly white and not pink.
The Pixel 3 features a 5.5-inch screen display with 2160x 1080 pixel resolutions. The other is the ability to use the Assistant without unlocking your phone.
But the Pixel 3 currently has a leg up on the iPhone XR: you can pre-order it now, and it will start shipping October 18.
The iPhone XR comes in more colours than the Pixel 3.
. Neither phone has a headphone jack.
Im considering buying both and storing the Pixel 3 inside the notch of the Pixel3 XLSeriously; the XL is just too ugly to look at and the Pixel3 is too small.
Hi, folks - Isaac here from the Pixel Camera engineering team.
Despite the global success of the Android operating system, Google has done less well with Pixel phones, which appeared nearly three years ago and have so far less than 1% share in the worldwide market, according to Strategy Analytics. That is what we are experiencing with Google from the past few years, as they are focusing on widening the range of the product and service that are not related with their core business such as Access, Calico, Verily, CapitalG, GV, Nest and X.
Both devices rely on a single, 12-megapixel, f/1.8 aperture rear lens, and they're both capable of shooting portrait mode photos with adjustable background blur. Also launching later this year, those using the Pixel in New York, Atlanta, Phoenix and San Francisco/Bay Area, will be able to use the Google Assistant Duplex technology to book a reservation at a restaurant.
Where the two phones differ is software.
Photobooth mode will automatically take your photo if you're smiling or making a amusing face.
It literally just released a phone this week with four cameras on the back.
Two front-facing cameras are present on the pair - a standard lens is joined by a wide-angle sensor that can fit more people into selfies.
