Meltan Mystery Box announced: new Special Research coming, new videos, new mystery

According to the site, one of the only ways to catch a Meltan going forward will be to send a Pokemon from Pokemon Go over to either Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu! or Let's Go, Eevee! on the Switch. Today, The Pokemon Company is offering significantly more details, including how to catch Meltan. I'm not sure exactly what the trailer is saying, but after a few Meltan gather into one spot, the trailer cuts to a silhouette of some giant Pokemon.
Because that would be too simple, it seems the easiest way to find a Meltan is by receiving a "Mystery Box".
There are even a couple clips of Meltan in Pokémon: Let's Go!, showing it waddling (or puddling?) around after its Trainer and also giving a glimpse of what happens when you try to chat it up. The box contains a rusty lump of metal inside, composed of the same elements as Meltan...
It's all about cross-game synergy, you see: players will be rewarded with a Mysterious Box the first time they transfer a Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Let's Go.
That same Meltan can then be transferred back to Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee and caught once again over in those games.
Opening the Mystery Box in Pokemon Go will then allow Meltan to appear for real in the game - not those Ditto-like appearances from earlier - and then players can catch it to fill out your Pokemon Go Pokedex.
As previously mentioned, you'll only be able to transfer the original 151 Pokemon-as well as their Alolan forms-from Pokemon Go to Let's Go, and the process is a one-way transfer; any monsters you send to the Switch games can not be returned to Pokemon Go. This game involves leading all of the Pokemon to the goal before time runs out; if you manage to clear it, you'll be rewarded with sweets, which you can feed to Pokemon to power up their stats.
