After Murkowski expressed her intention to vote against Kavanaugh, both Sarah Palin and Laura Ingraham dropped hints that they might challenge her when she is next up for re-election in 2022.

She acknowledges that some voters are disappointed in her decision, but says that's unavoidable because Alaskans were split on whether Kavanaugh should be confirmed.

Bannon has cheered Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.), whom he once targeted for defeat, for seeing Kavanaugh's nomination through to the end; hearing Bannon's praise, McConnell later said, was like having "an out of body experience". Trump has said Alaskans will make her pay. Though the joint resolution was never likely to pass the House, or be signed by the president, the Democratic move forced Republicans in close Senate races to record a key health-care vote less than a month before Election Day. The big question, they agree, is whether conservative enthusiasm will last until November 6 or fade away, victim to the historic pattern of midterm congressional losses by the party holding the White House and the ever-changing parade of distracting controversies prevalent under Trump.

According to Deadline, Kimmel joked that Trump is "flying extra high today after the confirmation of beer-battered Brett Kavanaugh, who is now on the United States Supreme Court despite all of the stuff you know about". He pointed out that Murkowski won election as a write-in vote in 2010. "They're already planning to impeach Kavanaugh and Trump".

McConnell wouldn't say whether the Senate would insist that Sessions' replacement would protect special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation investigation.

Roberts took no action on them while Kavanaugh's nomination was pending. Republicans slammed Clinton for her statement, especially as it came after Republicans were "shot, stabbed, doxxed, beaten, mailed powder, run out of restaurants, and sent death threats", in the age of the Trump administration.

"I wish you could get a little bit more conservative", Trump said to King, who was in attendance at the rally.

The Kavanaugh confirmation process has revealed not a flaw in our system, but rather the despicable lengths the radical left will go to bully, intimidate and shout down those with whom they disagree.
