Croatia will host Spain at Stadion Maksimir on Thursday as the UEFA Nations League competition continues.

Spain stayed top of the group with six points from four games but their fate is no longer in their own hands as England and Croatia, who have four each from three matches, clash at Wembley on Sunday.

A win for England means that they will finish top and progress into the Finals, victory for Croatia will see them leapfrog both Spain and England to top spot, while a draw would result in Spain retaining their place at the summit despite back-to-back defeats.

Croatia, the 2018 World Cup runner-up, has struggled since its success in Russian Federation and sits in last place with one point-though it could still top the group if it beats Spain and then England on Sunday.

Andrej Kramaric sent Croatia ahead after a Sergi Roberto mistake but Dani Ceballos equalised from Isco's pass.

Jedvaj restored Croatia's advantage with a close-range header in the 69th minute before Sergio Ramos converted a penalty in the 78th to bring Spain level again.

"We have the solutions and we go to Wembley to enjoy the football".

"I worry about the possible things that we have to adjust", he continued. "But until the end we'll have a chance (of qualifying)", said Lucho.

Jedvaj popped up again in the final stages to bag the victor at the back post, frustrating Luis Enrique's side.
