Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid of the Steam Halloween Sale

Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid of the Steam Halloween Sale Steam's Halloween Sale Is Now Live

That's not the case for Steam Halloween Sale 2018, which launched on Monday, Oct. 29 and runs through Halloween and All Saints' Day on Thursday, Nov. 1.

The initial site slowdowns from users trying to see what's on sale seem to have dissipated by now, so there's not much keeping PC gamers from emptying their wallets on horror and atmospheric experiences. From our perusal and at the time of writing, we found that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game of the year Edition at a 60% discount. Then, when you've bought that one on Steam, why not spare an extra $4.99 on the original BioShock? Why spend your cash on stuff that's only going to go to the landfill when you can really frighten yourself with a good horror videogame (in virtual reality (VR) obviously). Vampyr is also appropriately on sale, although not everyone is a fan of the game.

Despite the theme of this sale it's not just horror and related games on sale, though they are the focus.

Left 4 Dead 2 is hard to pass up at $1.99 if you don't already have it. Two more Steam sales have been revealed, thanks to a recent leak.

Volkswagen will launch in Israel, a self-driving taxi service
The auto could kick off with Level 4 autonomy cars, significantly human drivers aren't necessary to drive in almost any scenario. The Israeli venture is meant to serve as a global beta site, Mobileye, Volkswagen , and Champion Motors said.

As always the Steam sale tends to be the biggest, purely down to the amount of content on the platform.

Halloween week has come for game stores and Steam is the latest one to throw its hat into the ring.

There are thousands of titles on sale - 19288 to be precise - so the best way to find something you're interested in is to open up your wishlist and see what has been reduced.
