What Dez Bryant signing with the Saints means for fantasy football owners

Bryant's salary was not immediately known.
NFL Media notes that Bryant will wear No. 88 in New Orleans and report to the team's facility on Thursday after spending Wednesday in Dallas with his son. The contract is only for the rest of this season, which likely includes a playoff run as the Saints have the second best record in the NFC at 7-1.
The Saints have been short of options at wide receiver beyond star Michael Thomas this season. Armstead gets his money sooner, and the Saints get Bryant. They also traded for backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater late in the preseason.
The three-time Pro Bowl selection already showed signs of regression before being released by the Dallas Cowboys in April and the Saints' offense has been firing on all cylinders even without him.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder was among the NFL's best in his prime. Tre'Quan Smith, a third-round pick a year ago, has the second-most receiving yards for a wideout this season for the Saints at just 214 yards.
When we last saw the ex-Cowboy in 2017, he wasn't throwing up the "X" as much as he used to: He totaled 838 yards and six touchdowns, with a career-low 12.1 yards per catch. And the Cowboys were ultimately ready to move on from what executive vice president Stephen Jones described as a "fiery" personality that could sometimes be a "distraction". Despite a rocky situation where he publicly called out former teammates Sean Lee and Travis Frederick for not having his back, his love for the Cowboys has been on full display through his social media posts throughout the season.
The Saints face the Cowboys in Week 13, giving Bryant a matchup against the team that drafted him with the No. 24 pick in 2010, and the only franchise he's played for until now. You're getting a very passionate individual.
"I'm happy for Dez, happy he has an opportunity to go play and finish the right way", Garrett said.
