Mumbai: Virat Kohli was on Wednesday embroiled in a controversy when a fan termed him an "over-rated batsman" comparing him to England and Australia cricketers. "I enjoy watching English and Australian batsmen more than these Indians". The video was released on Kohli's own app, and showed him responding to Twitter and Instagram comments made about him. Why are you living in our country and loving other countries?

"Okay, I don't think you should live in India then... you should go and live somewhere else, no?"

While adding that he didn't mind any sort of dislike towards him, the Indian skipper felt that one should get his priorities sorted before posting such comments. I loved watching Sachin, Viru (Virender Sehwag), Sourav (Ganguly), VVS (Laxman), Rahul (Dravid) bat but also loved Mark Waugh, Brian Lara and so many others. However, the focus will be on how Virat Kohli and his men perform in the Tests for the reason that they haven't been able to do much in their previous couple of series in 2011 and 2014 respectively.

"I think this has to do with respecting cricketing excellence without any thoughts about geographical or political boundaries", he continued.

Among the highest grossing Indian films, only Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has been able to touch the Rs 40 crore mark. Markets in north India such as Uttar Pradesh and Delhi are seeing strong advance bookings in single screen theatres.

Kohli is quite active on Instagram where he can be seen posting video promoting global brands.

Some Twitter users have also picked out his self-introductory video during the 2008 U-19 World Cup, where he was seen mentioning former South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs as his favourite cricketer.

In essence, Bhogle believes that Kohli who is now the best player in the world is living in a bubble where they are only hearing what they want to hear. The BCCI's revenue will fall, and consequently the players' fees. Recently, Kohli became the fastest batsman to score 10,000 ODI runs.
