The niece of Tamera Mowry and Adam Housley has been confirmed as one of the victims killed in Wednesday night's shooting at Borderline Bar and Grill in California. "We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night's shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks", Mowry-Housley and her husband stated via their joint representative in a statement to USA Today.

Earlier Thursday, Alaina's roommate posted a message on Twitter, which said that her friends had gone out dancing and, "My suitemate is still missing, she is wearing denim shorts, a blue flannel and sneakers, pls let me know if you know anything", the actress addressed her directly, writing, "Ashely this is her aunt Tamera Mowry Housley". "Can you please DM me your information?" The exchange is pretty heartbreaking.

Mowry-Housley and husband Adam Housley, a former Fox News correspondent, put a call out on social media Thursday after learning their niece, Pepperdine University freshman Alaina Housley, was out with friends at the Borderline Bar & Grill near Los Angeles.

A Los Angeles Times reporter, Andrea Castillo, revealed that Adam, 46, had visited the Los Robles Regional Medical Center in hopes of finding Alaina, but was turned away for security reasons.

Mowry-Housley later wrote, "We haven't found her yet. I know you always hear those things".

By late morning, the teen's Apple Watch and iPhone still showed her location on the dance floor, the uncle said. They told Housley they believe it was the gunman.

Housley told the Times: "She's an incredible girl". Please pray. I am numb.

Housley wrote, "Staying positive and praying and hoping and wishing there was more I could do".

Her niece's suitemate sent a tweet at 5:27 a.m. EST asking people to look out for the missing woman, identified as Alaina Housley following the shooting at the California bar, according to People Magazine. Ventura County Sheriff Geoff Dean said an investigation is ongoing, and it is unclear what motivated the attack. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this hard time.
