Prima Games, the company we all know for making increasingly lavish strategy guides for almost every major video game release, is shutting its doors. The Dorling Kindersley department of Penguin Random House have made the "extremely hard decision" to discontinue the imprint from Spring 2019, according to sources contacted by EGMNow. "We are in conversations with the Prima Games team and can not comment on this further at this point". The Roseville office will shutter by mid-November, sources affected by the closings told EGM on Thursday. Some of those working in the company's Indianapolis office "will stay until March 2019 to publish the remaining program". DK says that it is "now in conversation with all colleagues in Roseville, Indianapolis and NY who have been impacted by this announcement", with the Roseville office set to close as early as mid-November. Prima Games has sold millions of PC and console video game strategy guides since its founding 28 years ago. Whether a download will become available or whether Penguin Random House will maintain a historical library remains to be seen.
