We don't have details or photos, but it's our understanding that the structures have all burned. That Westworld set is the same one that's used for HBO's upcoming Deadwood movie, which is now filming. (These spots were under 35 miles from Hollywood, because the unions required studios to pay employees extra if they had to travel farther than that for work.) Paramount Ranch in particular was the home of tons of high-profile projects, from old westerns like The Virginian to shows like Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and HBO's Carnivale.

The historic Paramount Ranch western town movie set was destroyed Friday in the massive Woolsey Fire.

Los Angeles-area photojournalist and video journalist for KCBS 2 shared images of the Woolsey fire's impact on the filming location, showing several structures completely destroyed.

The Woolsey fire, which started in Simi Valley near the Rocketdyne facility in the Santa Susana Pass, according to ABC 7, is currently affecting Los Angeles and Ventura counties and is now threatening Malibu. By Friday morning, it had spread to 14,000 acres.

Hansen: Less is better when it comes to NZ-England tests
Steve Hansen's side were stunned by South Africa in Wellington after a 36-34 defeat in September. He takes the ball to the line, he puts his body on the line, he doesn't play in a dinner suit.

It remains to be seen whether the sets will be rebuilt for future production or if the next season of Westworld will feature the town of Escalante. Among the films that shot at the ranch were "Caught in the Draft" with Bob Hope, "The Lake House" with Sandra Bullock, and TV shows including "The Mentalist", "Weeds" and "Quickdraw". Ownership of the ranch has changed hands multiple times over the decades since.

Westworld also films at the Melody Ranch in Santa Clarita, in Uta, h and various other locations. HBO said it did not know the extent of the damage and expressed concern for "all those affected by these frightful fires".

The deadly wildfire has already destroyed several thousand buildings and engulfed several thousand acres, displacing almost 30,000 people, according to California authorities. The blaze also threatens the communities of Calabasas and Woodland Hills.
