A free cheesecake promotion at a Northern Virginia Cheesecake Factory turned into chaos Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of one man.

The company's 40th anniversary promotion offered 40,000 free slices of cheesecake, and free delivery, to customers who ordered via DoorDash, a food delivery app.

5, the restaurant will be giving away 40,000 free slices of cheesecake as they have partnered with DoorDash for the big day.

As an added bonus, DoorDash is offering free delivery on all Cheesecake Factory orders from December 5 - 11. Police spokeswoman Ashley Savage says nearby roads were jammed and would-be delivery drivers were double-parked.

While at the scene, authorities were called to the restaurant for a reported fight.

A person allegedly acting disorderly was asked to leave the restaurant but refused to listen to officers, according to officials. Authorities said a struggle ensued while officers attempted to take the man into custody.

After the struggle the man was taken to the hospital at his request for possible injuries. Police told the Post he was transported to a hospital and will be charged with disorderly conduct.

While the CheeseCake Factories' baking prowess can hardly be brought into question, it quickly became clear that the suburban restaurant staple could use some work on its logistics-game.
