Some of the big names to have entered the auctions include Dale Steyn (base price INR 1.5 crore), Brendon McCullum, D'Arcy Short, Corey Anderson (all INR 2 crore).

Nearly five dozen South Africans will be among the players slugging it out for a place in next year's Indian Premier League (IPL). Apart from these, one player each from USA, Hong Kong, Ireland, Netherlands have signed up.Of the 1003 players, 800 are uncapped, with 746 of those from India.

Akshar Patel, Wriddhiman Saha, Yuvraj Singh and Ishant Sharma have a base price of Rs 1 crore.

Another Indian cricketer who deserves notable mention is Jaydev Unadkat, who will enter the auction with a base price of Rs 1.5 crore. Franchises will now have time until 5:00 PM IST, Monday 10th December to submit their shortlist of players that will make up the final VIVO IPL 2019 Player Auction list.
