Marvel has three movies set to launch next year, including Captain Marvel (March), Avengers 4 (May), and Spider-Man: Far From Home (July), so marketing for these movies has already started. But now at last, it seems we have confirmation, from the horse's (evil magician's) mouth.

The Oscar nominee has given in and joined Instagram, and if his first post is any indication, we expect a ton of adorableness over the coming months.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first solo outing for Tom Holland's version of the character. The post is accompanied by the caption: "I just realised I'm not playing Spider-Man". Rumours were rife that he would don the role of a villain in the movie and now, Jake has confirmed that he will be bringing the comic book character of Mysterio to life in the movie.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he said: "I would say, with John Watts who directed the movie, what makes this instalment of that franchise so great is that there is an intimacy to it".

The former Swansea and Liverpool boss insists sights are already set on the next triumph. " Time will judge us as a team". We certainly aren't finished yet in terms of what we want to achieve".

In his first ever post, he can be seen reading "The Amazing Spider-Man" comic book. It's now unclear which incarnation of Mysterio Gyllenhaal will be portraying.

The film see Tom Holland reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

Mysterio is a special effects expert who commits crimes and fights Spider-Man using elaborate illusions, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
