Kensington Palace has issued a rare statement about a recent alleged argument between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton.

The 37-year-old pregnant royal spoke with a group of students and teachers at King's College London as part of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) on Wednesday (December 5) in London, England.

"Today we brought together university leaders, academics & #students to discuss how we can build a better world through #highered". Meghan was photographed sitting during the discussions, taking notes.

Nelthorpe-Crowne represented Markle until she left Suits late a year ago when she got engaged to Prince Harry.

The duchess chose the Lover's Knot, a diamond and pearl encrusted piece that dates back to 1914, previously preferred by her late mother-in-law Princess Diana. Harry admits arguments come "thick and fast" and the two brothers admit they "don't know" whether the argument mentioned was ever resolved.

Coincidentally, Michelle had just recently spoken to Good Housekeeping about what advice she would offer Meghan if given the chance. Providing them with access to education is the key to economic and social development. She also made a very poignant point about gender equality: "When girls are given the right tools to succeed, they can create incredible futures".

This Christmas marks Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's first as husband and wife.

The couple haven't been seen for a couple of weeks, so fans were keen to catch a glimpse of Meghan's pregnancy bump as she stepped out in a royal blue dress from Serephina maternity. The service was held in Chelsea in support of the Henry Van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, which was set up in memory of a school friend of both Princes William and Harry, who died in a tragic vehicle crash in 2002 aged just 18.
