As for the expected Indian pricing, the Nokia 8.1 might be launched around Rs 23,999 in the sub-continent.

The Nokia 8.1 is a solid mid-range handset, featuring a large display, a powerful processor under the hood, and a variety of features that should help the handset standout. The device comes in Blue Silver, Steel Copper and Iron Steel colour options. We can thus expect the smartphone to make its way to India this month as well.

Nokia 8.1:Full specifications Nokia 8.1 features a Full HD+ 6.18-inch PureDisplay with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 and HDR10 support. The smartphone is part of the Google's Android One initiative and runs Android 9 Pie out of the box. Around the front there's a 20MP "selfie" camera with Nokia driving their bothie shooting mode once more.

The Nokia 8.1 rocks a 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM.

In the camera department, the Nokia 7.1 features a dual-rear camera setup with a primary 12MP sensor paired with a 5MP depth unit. The phone also has a hybrid microSD card slot for storage expansion. Like Nokia's recent launches such as the Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 7.1, the Nokia 8.1 also features a glass back with metal frame running all around. In the connectivity zone, Nokia 8.1 can be expected to offer 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac with VoWiFi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, FM radio, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on the phone are rumoured to include Face unlock, Fingerprint sensor, Compass/ Magnetometer, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. The Nokia 8.1 comes with a two-design with anodising processes and diamond cut edges. The battery has 3,500mAh capacity and it supports 18W fast charging.

The Nokia 8.1 is similar in design and hardware to the China-only Nokia X7.
