So far this year we have seen Huawei blow everyone away with what they could do with a triple camera setup so it seems that Samsung are going to try and do the same after their cameras this year, while impressive, were not mind-blowing. This news that was put on the company's Weibo page and it officially puts the South Korean smartphone maker ahead in the race to launch the first such phone in the market. Meanwhile, Huawei is also working on a similar display panel with a hole for the selfie camera, although we are unsure what the company is calling this display. However, both the leak and the official new image show a small but noticeable chin on the bottom of the display.

Moreover, Huawei's Nova 4 teaser picture showed the phone with a galaxy background.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A8s, which has been in the news for being the first smartphone to feature a hole-punch display and is scheduled to be announced next week, has been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. One difference is that Samsung's front facing camera is supposed to be built on the top right side, and in case of Huawei Nova 4 it would appear in the top left-hand side. There is no doubt that the giant will one day come up with the sensor under the screen, but only today is the best possible solution.

Huawei Nova 4 is speculated to come equipped with an LCD display.

Theres no in-display fingerprint reader, instead theres a classic reader on the back. The phone is said to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

What To Expect In The Spec Department?

The Galaxy A8s is slated for an early January release in China.

Samsung and Huawei both teased the announcement of almost all-screen phones with a circular cutout for the front-facing camera before the end of the year. The listing reveals the phone to be running Android 8.0 Oreo. The report says that the Galaxy A8s will boast a 6.3-inch FullHD+ display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels.
