This is now a reality, thanks to LG, which unveiled a 65-inch rollable TV at this year's CES. So far most programming isn't offered at such a high resolution.

Anyone who brags about having a 65 inch TV needs to sit down and be humble after Samsung's announcement of "The Wall".

Every TV company is touting new 8K televisions with four times the resolution of 4K televisions.

US 'hopeful' on deal to protect Kurds
On December 19, Trump said he had ordered the withdrawal of all U.S. forces in Syria, which are believed to number around 2,000. Pompeo's remarks follow tensions between the USA and Turkey over the fate of Washington's allies in the fight against ISIS.

Samsung, however, is going really big in its own way with its unveiling of "The Wall", a massive 219-inch TV that uses a technology called micro-LED. Called the LG Signature OLED TV R, the TV is expected to go on sale later this year. And rolls back into a bench when you're not watching.

Sony's Master Series Z9G doesn't care though - seeing as it has an advanced machine learning algorithm for upscaling to 8K, and the hefty X1 Ultimate processor to power it. It's from whence the TVs of tomorrow come. Last year, Samsung had also announced a 146-inch modular display. That's thanks to a Piezoelectric speaker design that "pumps sound from the panel" itself instead of through a traditional cone driver.
