Chelsea midfielder, Cesc Fabregas has completed his move to AS Monaco in a deal worth £10 million ($12.8m).

Fabregas' latest challenge will be to try and save Monaco from relegation.

Fabregas leaves England as the Spaniard with the most Premier League appearances, with 350 to his name in spells with Arsenal and Chelsea across 12 seasons.

After starting out with Arsenal as a roaming attacking midfielder with a clinical eye for goal and a deft pass, Fabregas moved into a deeper-lying position over the years where his vision of the game and outstanding passing range helped him to remain influential in games with Chelsea.

Cesc Fabregas has joined Ligue 1 side Monaco from Chelsea, the clubs have confirmed.

"It is a great pleasure to join AS Monaco, [it is] a new project for me", said Fabregas.

Oscars to have no host this year
With Kevin Hart stepping down from hosting duties of The Oscars ceremony in February, the event is now host-less. After the Oscar controversy, Ellen DeGeneres reached out to him in an attempt to bring him back as host.

Key to the move was the fact that Monaco are now coached by Fabregas' former Gunners teammate Henry, with whom he won the Premier League in 2004. "We have a big game against Marseille on Sunday, I'm very excited".

Further title success came in the 2016/17 season before he lifted the FA Cup for the first time last season.

The Premier League club are understood to be interested in deals for Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella and Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Leandro Paredes.

"We are very pleased to welcome Cesc Fabregas, a world-class player and a great professional, whose arrival demonstrates the ambition of the club", said Vadim Vasilyev, the club's vice president and general manager.

"But we are convinced that his experience at the highest level will bring a lot to our players on and off the field".
