Jermaine Jenas has suggested Leeds United should be hit with a points deduction after manager Marcelo Bielsa admitted sending someone from the club to spy on Derby County's training session on Thursday.

Who was the "spy" outside Derby's training ground?

Frank Lampard's men will take the trip to Elland Road this evening as they aim to inflict a fourth-straight defeat in all competitions on the league leaders.

With Derby preparing ahead of the match a man "acting suspiciously" was caught outside the Ram's training ground on Thursday.

Leeds United have not commented on the story.

Derby have confirmed they have contacted Leeds about the incident, though no reply has been given.

And Derby claimed on Friday afternoon that the individual was a member of staff at the Yorkshire club.

Derbyshire Police issued a statement denying those reports, but did confirm that "a man was found at the perimeter fence of Moor Farm and was spoken to".

Police were called to Derby's training ground following reports of a man acting suspiciously.

"It has since been confirmed to Derby County that the individual concerned is an employee of the footballing staff at Leeds United".

They said in a statement they were "in discussion with Leeds club officials in relation to this incident".

Derby, who now occupy the final playoff position in the league table, have amassed 43 points from 26 games in the Championship.

The Rams have made a positive start under Frank Lampard so far, with 43 points from 26 Championship games. It's up to the league to see how they deal with it.

Lampard revealed that Derby don't intend to lodge a complaint about the matter but added that Leeds also spied on his team's training session before the sides met in August, with Bielsa's team winning that game 4-1.

It doesn't matter if this is legal or illegal, or right or wrong. for me, it is enough that Frank Lampard and Derby felt it was not the right thing to do, for me to believe that I didn't behave well.
