On Friday, HBO teased the arrival of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, revealing that the season's trailer would arrive just ahead of Sunday's (January 13th) showing of True Detective. In the teaser we see Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), and Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) walk into the crypt one by one. Therefore making it clear what lies ahead of the now surviving clan of the Starks, the showrunners of Game of Thrones have blown up the anxiety bugle for the fans of the show.

The network also released a tantalizing teaser video called Crypts of Winterfell.

The viewer hears messages their from dead family members Ned and Catelyn Stark as well as Lyanna Stark, Ned's sister and the mother Jon never knew.

The three statues speak to Jon.

Season eight has six episodes - each of which could run as long as 90 minutes.
