Marca are reporting that Coutinho's confidence has taken a massive hit after his recent performances and that he's now at "rock bottom".

He scored 10 goals in 22 games back then, but his influence on the team has started to wane following the resurgence from Ousmane Dembele and form of midfielders Ivan Rakitic and Arthur.

Barcelona are willing to sacrifice Manchester United target Philippe Coutinho to fund a return for Neymar, reports claim.

There was recently a rumour doing the rounds that Manchester United were in for the former Inter Milan man and although that does seem unlikely, it would come as a loss to Liverpool if it did come to fruition. However, this publication also understands that, with no such release clause in place for this summer, Barça feel they will have a real problem putting together a deal that would persuade the Ligue 1 club to do business this year.

The Spanish giants paid Liverpool £105 million upfront for Coutinho, with the rest being paid in add-ons.

Seeking an opportunity, United have made their interest known to the player's representatives should he seek a move, according to reports in Spain.

Coutinho instantly won silverware upon his move last season, joining up with a Barca side who were well in front in the race for the La Liga title.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool pocket £4.4m every time Coutinho plays 25 La Liga games for the club up to a maximum of 100 appearances.

They are also due another £4.4m if they qualify for the Champions League next season - which they are certain to do.

Barça spent months attempting to prise Coutinho away from Liverpool and eventually succeeded last January after a €140m agreement was struck.
