The Punisher Season 2 premieres on Netflix on January 18th. The unstoppable force of nature that is Frank Castle, known as the Punisher, is out to deliver another round of vengeance.
As you can hear in that trailer, they already seem to be hinting at the end of the show.
It's soon uncovered that Bendix suffered a similar tragedy as Castle - whose family was, of course, brutally slaughtered - as she tells him, "They killed everybody I've ever cared about". She responds, "It was nearly like you were happy for the excuse". The dude is too busy fighting Jigsaw, the villain that was once Billy Russo (Ben Barnes). Nevertheless, he wants revenge against Castle.
Clips of the ruthless fight that went down in said venue are interspersed throughout the conversation as Bendix questions Castle on his true motivations, saying, "It's nearly like you were happy for the excuse", in reference to the character's tendency toward savagery. "I'm the one who does the killing", he boasts. It looks like a big improvement upon season one.
The Jon Bernthal starrer was also surprisingly good (if a little overstretched, plot wise) and not merely a gore lover's delight as was previously thought.
That headline reflects the fact that along with being burned out watching Marvel Netflix shows, I am now burned out writing about their promotional stuff as well.
