A handful of Republicans met in Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's (R-Ky.) office Thursday afternoon to discuss a plan that would have funded construction of a wall on the U.S. -Mexico border in exchange for legislative protections for Dreamers ― young undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S.as children ― as well as protections for immigrants from countries such as El Salvador, Haiti, Nicaragua and Sudan.

His comments come as an impasse continues with Democrats on border security funding, including the proposed wall, amid a partial government shutdown.

Trump responded to what he called "fake news" reports questioning his claim that Mexico would pay for the wall as he left the White House Thursday on his way to McAllen, Texas, to highlight his push for a border wall amid a now 20-day government shutdown. Trump said he would "take the mantle" for the shutdown.

"Time for President [Trump] to use emergency powers to build wall/barrier", Graham said via Twitter on Thursday.

"The notion that we're going to track every Western Union bit of money that's being sent to Mexico - good luck with that", Obama said.

Doctors reportedly then found the head of the dead baby inside the woman's womb during surgery and informed her relatives. The man in charge of the heath centre in Ramgargh, Dr Nikhil Sharma, said he wasn't present at the time of the incident.

While it's not certain President Trump will declare an emergency, the White House likes being able to hold the card over Democrats who they say have refused to compromise or even negotiate.

Rudalevige also points out that "as of 2019, the United States has been in a continuous state of emergency for four full decades" - just as it was from 1933 to 1973, which saw emergencies declared for The Great Depression, World War II, and the Korean War. He's gonna put the Democrats into court. But that's not gonna matter. "I hope it works", he added. And when I said Mexico will pay for the wall, in front of thousands and thousands of people, obviously they're not going to write a check. "Democrats, go. What do you do as Democrats?"

"If we had a barrier of any kind, a powerful barrier, whether its steel or concrete. we would stop it cold", Trump said. Just 33% said Democrats in Congress were mostly to blame. According to a Politico/Morning Consult poll, 52% of voters pointed the finger at Trump and Congressional Republicans.
