Based on real incidents, Uri: The Surgical Strike collected Rs 11 crore (approximately) at the Indian box office on Saturday, according to early estimates.

The film stars Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Kirti Kulhari, Mohit Raina and Paresh Rawal in key roles. "It's a surreal feeling that audience has accepted our film with open arms", he told media. The film, that made it to the theatres yesterday, received a thumbs up from the critics and going by the box office numbers, it seems that it is an average hit among the audience too.

We're lacking it and, because of that, we have a lot of learning to do. "We've got a lot of pieces out there. You've got to be patient and continue to work hard and things will fall in place".

Vicky also praised his co-actors and director Aditya Dhar for being part of the film. Vicky plays Major Vihan Shergill in the film which talks about's India's revenge after several jawans were killed during the Uri attack.

It is turning out to be a good weekend as the box office collection of this week's two Hindi releases -Uri and The Accidental Prime Minister come in. The latter hosted a special screening of the movie which was attended by Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh, Rohit Shetty and many other B-town stars. The film is expected to collect around Rs 3 crore as its opening box office collection.
