After a good freshman season at Penn State in 2013, Christian Hackenberg got some premature buzz as a potential No. 1 overall pick in the NFL.

Gang Green traded him to the Oakland Raiders in May for a conditional seventh-round draft pick. They produced some exciting matchups and a great set of highlights to sell to fans in hopes that they'll tune in throughout the National Football League offseason with three particularly compelling teams emerging: the Orlando Apollos coached by Steve Spurrier, the Birmingham Iron coached by Tim Lewis and the Arizona Hotshots, operating under the watchful eyes of Rick Neuheisel.

With the Arizona Hotshots playing their first game in franchise history Sunday night, the team was bound to have a lot of firsts.
