US President Donald Trump took a dig at Amazon founder Jeff Bezos over his alleged sexting exchange with another woman months before announcing a divorce from wife MacKenzie. Trump continued to knock Bezos' involvement in the paper with a wish "hopefully the paper will soon be placed in better & more responsible hands!"

"So sorry to hear the news about Jeff Bozo being taken down by a competitor whose reporting, ' the President sarcastically tweeted purposefully misspelling Bezos" name.

Previously Trump - who has been married three times - told reporters he thought the divorce was going to be "a beauty".

U.S. President Donald Trump coined a new nickname for Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos on Sunday, calling him "Jeff Bozo" in a tweet that praised a story in the National Enquirer and disparaged the Washington Post.

Ambassador to Colombia Kevin Whitaker said the U.S. will get supplies to the border, and Guaido will take it from there. President Trump acknowledged in an interview Sunday the use of U.S. military force in Venezuela is "an option".

The dig on Sunday was particularly astonishing because National Enquirer chief executive David Pecker allegedly arranged to pay porn star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal to "catch and kill" their stories about their alleged affairs with Trump. Following the announcement, details about Bezos' relationship with former TV anchor Lauren Sanchez were revealed.

Trump has also always been critical toward Bezos, who bought The Washington Post - a publication the president has attacked over its reporting on his administration - in 2013.

Trump has been particularly critical of The Washington Post in its coverage of his administration, and Jeff Bezos has often been the target of his retaliations on Twitter about what he considers to be unfair coverage. Trump phoned into Fox News on Saturday night to refute the article, saying: "I'm not keeping anything under wraps, I couldn't care less".

In March 2018, he went after Amazon again, posting, "I have stated my concerns with Amazon long before the Election".
