Aside from a cheaperPixel, Google plans to release new smart speaker products, likely a successor to the original Google Home and a next-generation Google Home Mini is due. It is expected to be priced lower than Apple's cheapest iPhone. The Google Pixel family has grown in terms of market share over the past year by approximately 0.13-percent, the source says, citing IDC.
Discussing the success of Google's Pixel range, the firm said: "According to new research from our smartphone-tracker service, Google Pixel was the fastest-growing major smartphone brand in the United States in the fourth quarter of 2018". The Pixel 2 and 3 already offer eSIM support along with a physical SIM, but both of them do not work at the same time. It is rumoured to host a 5.6 inch IPS Full HD+ display. Finally, Google will be announcing premium Pixel phones toward the end of the year as expected.
The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are surely partly responsible for the achievement. The latest Google hardware also includes new wearables and Home smart speakers.
Google will, the sources claim, aim to launch its Google Pixel Lite at a price point much lower than Apple's least expensive iPhone in a bid to convince on-the-fence buyers over to its ecosystem.
Finally, Strategy Analytics declared the Pixel 3 in particular is "starting to resonate" with USA customers that are "searching for something new, such as eSIM connectivity or AI". Although Google has been introducing new Home-branded products over the years, the company is going to be updating the regular Google Home speaker later this year after a long time.
And lastly, the company is reportedly working on a new security camera. It will be the company's first wearable device which has already been delayed due to some reasons past year.
In order to realize its "hardware dream", Google is still digging the corner of Apple employees to expand cooperation with Asian suppliers.
