There was the Red Wedding, the Purple Wedding, the battle between the Red Viper and the Mountain (and that result) - and, let's not forget, what happened to Hodor.

In a recent interview to the Entertainment Weekly, showrunners, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have recently confirmed that the most adored cat will not return this season as it has been killed by Cersei Lannister. The royal feline was last seen in Season 6, when Margarey (Natalie Dormer) visited Tommen (Dean Charles Chapman) in his bedroom for some late night flirting.

He leapt onto the bed (and into the hearts of Game of Thrones fans everywhere), interrupting Margery Tyrell and Tommen's first scene together. While we anxiously wait for the official trailer of the series, HBO has unveiled a new video of tributes paid to it by fans from around the world.

"Ser Pounce's death was so awful we couldn't even put it on the air", Benioff claimed.

Retail inflation softens to 19-month low of 2.05% in January
Clothing and footwear prices had a small downward pull on inflation with prices falling by 1.3 per cent for the year to January. The manufacturing sector grew 2.7% in December, while electricity sector grew 5.5%.

So just how did Ser Pounce go to the giant ball of string in the sky?

Showrunner Dan Weiss, chiming in, said that if we buy "the super-extended, super-charged Game of Thrones box set", there will be an entire episode devoted to the death of Ser Pounce.

More diabolical than what Joffrey Baratheon, who Tommen said "threatened to skin [Ser Pounce] alive and mix his innards up in my food so I wouldn't know I was eating him", had in store?

"I suppose there's a lot of staff around the kingdom to look after him". That'd be a tragedy.
