Why Ubisoft chose to remaster one of the weakest Assassin's Creed titles is a mystery for many fans, but regardless, the game will be arriving soon.

Available at no extra cost to anyone who already owns the AC Odyssey Season Pass or as a standalone purchase, Assassin's Creed III Remastered is more than an HD port of the divisive 2012 original.

Late last week Assassin's Creed III Remastered was given a release date for all the other consoles and PC, but not the Switch.

Ubisoft hasn't officially announced any Assassin's Creed game for the Nintendo Switch so if this turns out to be true, then this will be the first time the series has made its way to the Nintendo hybrid console. This could be the ideal opportunity to pick up the title for those who may have missed out on its original release, or for those who have not yet played Liberation, which was initially a PS Vita exclusive.

Ubisoft reiterated the re-release of adventure action Assassin's Creed III and released on this occasion next video.

While looking at the game trailer we can easily tell that the game gets a 4K visual upgraded with HDR support.

As Ubisoft revealed in the announcement post, the game features a number of gameplay improvements, as well as all previously released DLC expansions and a visually enhanced version of Assassin's Creed III Liberation. Now, it seems that AC3's arrival on Switch could be happening after all.
