The apology came after a tweet from BET made fun of Minaj while praising Cardi B's Grammy win.

"Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is being dragged by her lacefront", the network tweeted, to which Nicki wasted no time responding...and apparently, she's speaking for all of Young Money Entertainment. In a follow-up tweet, she announced that neither she nor any of the acts on the famed Young Money label would be appearing at June's BET Experience. Summer Tour dates dropping soon, ' Nicki wrote. Nicki didn't stop there, she later captioned a screenshot of her fans slamming BET with caption: "Meanwhile, BET is being dragged by their lace front".

In a statement, BET apologized to Minaj for the "hurt, disappointment and confusion that this post has caused".

A spokesperson for BET then issued the following statement: "BET loves Nicki Minaj". Unfortunately the respect we have for Nicki was violated by this post that should never have been written. We have apologized to Nicki and her team'. "And further does not reflect our company values", the network said. We are committed to doing everything we can to address the situation.

The network added: "We understand Nicki's position and look forward to continuing our dialogue with her". Later on, she tweeted that she pissed off the same man that Ariana just called out for lying and that's why she does not have a Grammy.
