Here are three talking points from this crucial result that saw the Red Devils fire into the top-four.

Manchester United's board have already chose to name Ole Gunnar Solskjaer their new permanent manager, according to reports.

Pogba's brace saw move into double figures in the Premier League this season as the Red Devils defeated the Cottagers 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The 45-year-old has been able to rejuvenate the likes of Pogba, Herrera and Matic, all of who were heavily criticized under Jose Mourinho and are now a key part of Manchester United's starting lineup.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted that despite his recent lack of game time, Fred still has a vital role to play at Manchester United.

"We're on a great run but I think the players are feeling the same".

"It was a big game for us", he said. We've proven that in the last 10 or 12 games.

Pogba scored twice against Fulham at Craven Cottage, where Anthony Martial was also on target thanks to a fine solo goal.

Just brilliant. For a guy who looked to be on his way out of the club under Jose Mourinho, he is one of the many who have been revitalized under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. We're improving, we're still getting better.

"We know there's a very, very good player there with Fred so hopefully he'll adjust to the English game because there's no doubt there's talent, absolutely no doubt".

And as we head towards the final phase of the season, Fulham are sinking further into the relegation scrap, having acquired just seventeen points in 26 matches and are in desperate need of a miraculous turnaround if they are to maintain their top-flight status next season.

Solskjaer, with one eye on Tuesday's Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain, started with Romelu Lukaku in attack as in-form Marcus Rashford was dropped on the bench.

According to The Sun, the outcome of the meeting was that United have chose to appoint Solskjaer as their permanent manager, although "the club may not announce it until the end of the season".
