Although not in uniform for Game 1 against the Bucks, Griffin received a technical foul while on the bench in the third quarter for protesting teammate Andre Drummond's ejection. Milwaukee is trying win a series for the first time since 2001.

The Bucks jumped all over the Pistons early in Game 1 and never looked back from their 20-point lead at the end of the first quarter.

That was taken to a whole new level when reports came up indicating that All-Star forward Blake Griffin would miss the series with a knee injury.

They head home to Detroit for Game 3 on Saturday.

Bucks 120, Pistons 99: What a difference a year makes - one year to the day - for Eric Bledsoe: Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel recapped the Bucks' Game 2 victory over the Detroit Pistons to go 2-0 in their first round series, which featured a fantastic showing for Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe. Giannis went into the half with 10 points (on 4-for-8 shooting) and six rebounds - a solid stat line for most, but modest numbers for the Bucks' MVP.

Hurricane Michael gets an upgrade to rare Category 5 status
In Mexico Beach, 1,584 of the town's 1,692 buildings were reported damaged; more than 800 were destroyed. This makes it only the fourth Category Five storm to hit the U.S. - the highest possible category.

Detroit clawed within seven in the fourth before the Bucks put it away, capped by a hard drive by Antetokounmpo on a break. They also lost Game 2 to trail 0-2. If Detroit is going to keep this game closer, turning those two categories around may be the best path.

Pistons: Griffin took part in light drills at the morning's shootaround while wearing a heavy brace on his leg. Thon Maker, acquired from Milwaukee near the trading deadline, started in Griffin's place for the second straight game.

Bucks: G Tony Snell, who continues to deal with a left ankle sprain, was inactive.

But it's not over until it's over, and the two sides will square off for Game 2 at Fiserv Forum.
