The episode ends with little fanfare from the kids as Mr. Ratburn's gay wedding barely phases them, as they're more excited about the cake they get to eat.

Children's show Arthur has been all over the internet lately after revealing that one of the main character's in the show is gay. They decide that marrying her will make Mr. Ratburn miserable, which will then make his students miserable, so they set off to nip the nuptials in the bud.

The long-running series, which airs in the United States on PBS, aired the episode titled "Mr Ratburn & The Special Someone" where Mr Ratburn debuted his now husband, Patrick the aardvark chocolatier. When Mr. Ratburn walks down the aisle, he is arm in arm with a man. Arthur and some of the other characters find out about the engagement first and they're shocked because they never thought of their teachers having private lives of their own when they aren't at the school. It comes not long after Teacher Appreciation Week in the USA, when Arthur PBS tweeted a form encouraging pupils to nominate their favourite teacher, giving its own example of Mr Ratburn.

First assessment blames Iran for Middle East ship explosions, official says
The UAE's Foreign Ministry called the incident "sabotage", without going into details. Emirati officials identified the third ship as the Saudi-flagged oil tanker Amjad .

'Congratulations Mr. Ratburn, ' the organization wrote. It is based on Marc Brown's Arthur Adventure book series and has so far run for 246 episodes.

One person perfectly summed it up with their post, "genuinely didn't know arthur still made new episodes but we stan mr ratburn". There's still no word on why Arthur and his friends haven't graduated the third grade after 22 years.
