Beyoncé's adoration meant so much to Clarke, in fact, that it anxious her that the singer would have to see Daenerys eventually turn towards tyranny and darkness in the show's final season. Game of Thrones has shaped me as a woman, as an actor and as a human being.

Clarke said that ultimately she had always thought her character would die.

The showrunners have rushed through pivotal scenes that could have dramatically altered the way fans reacted to season 8, and eliminated logic and common sense all to needlessly shock the audience.

"I'm just so deep in "Game of Thrones" that all I can think about is Kit Harington (who plays Jon Snow)", she added. I stand by her! "What I was taught at drama school - and if you print this there will be drama school teachers going 'that's bulls-,' but here we go: I was told that your character is right". She's our saviour, Mhysa.' It's been attractive and unbelievable, but I've been looking over my shoulder the entire time while everyone else gets a more human-for want of a better word-story line.

I would've loved some more scenes between Grey Worm and Missandei. "But I would just like a bit more time between Game of Thrones being cold in the ground before something else comes along". "Like, I really did feel numb". The genocide was there. "And I was just happy we got to the end". "I still think Dany's decisions were rushed but the outcome was satisfying and there were strong character moments for just about everyone, especially Tyrion".

"However, unwilling to criticise the show too much, Clarke said it wasn't really her place to ". critique the geniuses that have written eight seasons' worth of wonderful stuff".

Zelensky becomes Ukrainian President - Zelensky officially takes office of President of Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that he dissolves the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the eighth convocation. The separatist authorities have indicated that they could be ready to negotiate with Zelensky.

Oh, yes, Khalessi, you are very much in a position to critique the geniuses exactly because season 8 is so lacking.

It's hard to imagine Game of Thrones's Daenerys Targaryen as anyone but Emilia Clarke, but once upon a time, Elizabeth Olsen had her sights set upon the now-iconic role.

She read it again and again.

The trailer shows Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, crying as he reads his final scene with Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen.

"What, what, what, WHAT!?" the actress recalls thinking.

After killing thousands of people in King's Landing and countless others before that, certain fans could argue that Daenerys Targareyn is a bonafide villain. "I'm flabbergasted. Absolutely never saw that coming".
