Last season, Peterson requested a trade before the midseason deadline but later backed off that stance, affirming his commitment to the Cardinals this offseason.

At his pre-draft news conference last month, Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury said he was not concerned about Peterson's absence from this spring's camp.

First-time offenders of the league's PED policy typically receive four-game suspensions, but the NFL can enforce another two games if a diuretic or masking agent is detected in addition to the prohibited substance, per ESPN's Dan Graziano.

Peterson has already appealed and made a decision to drop it, and he will lose $3,882,352 in wages, Schefter added.

As for the scoring, Glover expected some pretty good rounds, without exactly going out on a limb. "So I think - it is different". Koepka was right there challenging Woods for the green jacket. "You join another list, and then you sort of try to keep going".

The Cardinals' star cornerback said he was "definitely, definitely sorry" for the infraction that will keep him out until the team's Week 7 game against the Giants. Peterson believed he could save at least $2 million with a reworked contract, according to Gambadoro. Peterson would be eligible to return on October 20 for a road game against the New York Giants. As a result, he will miss Arizona's first six games against the Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals and Atlanta Falcons.

Peterson will be available to participate in all offseason practices and preseason practices and games.

Peterson is a huge part of the Cardinals' defense, and will be missed immensely during his absence.

The news of Peterson's suspension comes on the same day that the 4th Annual Patrick Peterson Celebrity Golf Tournament is set to begin in the Valley. He is a three-time First-Team All-Pro selection and has been a Pro Bowl selection in each of his eight National Football League seasons.
