WoW Classic will also be releasing content in phases, following the original order of content releases.

Following the beta, Blizzard will also be holding several Stress Tests for World of Warcraft Classic running from May through to July, which active WoW players can opt into via the Account Management section of their Battle.net account.

However, when it comes to the WoW Classic beta going live tomorrow, it appears Blizzard will be hand picking who they want to join. That decision followed years of fans doing the same "behind" Blizzard's back, though their attempt to do so was an open secret-one that Blizzard battledaggressively. The official launch of WoW Classic will happen at 3:00 pm PDT August 26 in the Americas.

Blizzard will celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of WOW with World of Warcraft Classic, available from August 27th in the Standard edition and in the special 15th Anniversary Collector's Edition, now available for preorder on the Blizzard website and at major retailers.

It´s not been such a long time since Blizzard announced their plans to release classic servers for the most famous MMORPG in the world, that is, World of Warcraft. A closed beta starts on Wednesday. And the good news is that subsequent stress tests will extend the opportunity to even more players.

Having played it myself at BlizzCon 2018, it's safe to say that this is most definitely World of Warcraft right when it originally launched in 2004. And at the end of it all, players will be able to ride across Azeroth on the Obsidian Worldbreaker - a mount that bares a strong resemblance to Deathwing the Destroyer.

Blizzard also announced a boxed Collector's Edition for World of Warcraft to ring in the game's 15th anniversary. It will release on October 8 for $100, and you can pre-purchase from the Blizzard store.
