Just a few weeks ahead of free agency, Kyrie Irving and his longtime agent Jeff Wechsler have parted ways.

The Celtics star guard finished with averages of 21.3 points, 6.9 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals while knocking down 40.1 of his 3-point shots.

One of the teams that are in the running for Irving is the Brooklyn Nets and now, sports retailers are preparing for Irving's departure from Boston.

Wednesday was quite the day for National Basketball Association news, specifically pertaining to the Boston Celtics. Now, Irving has reportedly made another big decision.

With Boston potentially out of the picture, it seems to be a race between the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, and Los Angeles Lakers to land the services of Irving, as all teams have ties to his past. "Durant's free agency has been complicated by a ruptured right Achilles that will keep him out of the entire 2019-20 season".

The 27-year-old spent the last two season with the Celtics after an August 2017 trade brought him over from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He only appeared in 51 games through the regular season (18 starts), missing time with a broken left hand, a left foot contusion and some minor ankle injuries, however he proved to be one of Boston's best backup frontcourt options, bringing his trademark defensive energy throughout the season. It's been said several of Irving's teammates would be just fine if he were to move on and play somewhere else next season.
