A star of the Nintendo showcase, Luigi's Mansion 3 was a hotly anticipated reveal alongside Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and by all accounts it delivered. This updated contraption is also used to summon "Gooigi', Luigi's gooey doppelganger". The co-op feature allows a friend to take control of this "goo" version of the character.

Speaking of muyltiplayer, a new scarescraper mode gives players a tower of multiple rooms and floors to play through, and this mode can be tackled via local multiplayer or online. Absolute protagonists are the features of our faithful Strobobulbo, thanks to which poor Luigi will be able to defend himself from the sea of ghosts that haunt the game.

Earlier in the year, Nintendo held a Nintendo Direct in which they revealed the latest entry in the Luigi's Mansion series, Luigi's Mansion 3.

The gameplay also shows off different themes within the haunted hotel Luigi is exploring, from medieval times to the movie theater, there seems to be a wide verity of environments to explore.

Louis beats Boston 4-1 in Game 7 to win Stanley Cup
The 11-year-old Anderson was given a Stanley Cup Champions t-shirt and hat and was thrilled about her new swag. Boston's Matt Grzelcyk spoiled the shutout with a late goal with 2 minutes remaining to spoil the shutout.

Overall it looks like Nintendo are taking what made the original Luigi's Mansion and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon fun, unique experiences and combining them into a definitive experience.

Luigi's new tool this time around is the Poltergust G-00, which adds some more functionality to Luigi's trusty vacuum-weapon. Gooigi can only withstand water less well.

Returning is multiplayer from the 3DS game. See our disclosure policy for more details.
