Manchester United are reportedly willing to use young Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira as a makeweight in a deal for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire. But, after being a pivotal player for England at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the bigger clubs started coming for him.

The Red Devils have completed just one transfer so far this summer, with Manchester United signing Daniel James from Swansea.

The 26-year-old is an extremely solid centre back, possessing all the fundamental skills required for someone to succeed in that position, but he has some way to go before he can match the likes of Gerard Pique or Aymeric Laporte for playing out from the back.

Manchester United finished in sixth spot in the Premier League season last term to miss out on a place in the Champions League for the 2019-20 campaign.

There's also the fact that a recent Mason-Dixon poll found Moore with a net favorable rating among Alabamans. Jones defeated Moore during a heated special election in 2017 to fill the seat vacated by Jeff Sessions .

That is following the departure of Vincent Kompany to join Anderlecht and the rumours that Nicolás Otamendi could also leave after the Copa América.

Harry Maguire is once again on the radar of both Manchester clubs, with Manchester City rumoured to be his preferred destination as he wants to play under Pep Guardiola. There is a sense that he is ready to take the next step in his career and a move to Manchester City would certainly represent progression.

In a bid to keep the defender at the King Power, the Foxes are understood to have put a £90 million price tag on his head, as per the report, but that does not appear to have seen off all interested parties.

It's even reported that the Premier League champions have already "pencilled in" a medical for Maguire. Manchester City's current record signing is Riyad Mahrez, who they also bought from Leicester City, last summer for £60 million.
