Dutta had filed a complaint in October past year, in which she had alleged that on the sets of "Horn Ok Pleasss" in 2008, Patekar had touched her inappropriately on the pretext of showing her dance steps, and also insisted on starring in the song sequence, which was supposed to be a solo performance.

Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta lashed out at the "corrupt" Mumbai police for shutting down a harassment case against Indian actor Nana Patekar whom she called a corrupt person. "What was the rush to file a B summary report when all of my witnesses have not even recorded their statements yet??" "The police have not done proper investigation, so we are opposing the summary report and are also going to file a writ petition before the Bombay High Court", he said.

Satpute, however, said neither he nor his client (Dutta) received any official information from police.

According to Times of India, Mumbai police filed a closure report in court stating that Dutta's case lacks evidence against the accused. Naming the witnesses whose statements had not yet been recorded by the police, the advocate alleged that the police had recorded statements those who did not knew "nothing". "After hearing, if the court is satisfied, then it can again direct the police to re-investigate", Satpute told IANS.

He also alleged that the police acted "negligently" to protect Patekar.

Facebook launches new market research app after pulling similar app in January
Earlier in January , it was revealed that Facebook had been paying people to let them gain access to their phones . This includes apps installed and the amount of time spent on them, country, device and network type of the user.

The said incident happened in 2008, when she was shooting for a solo sequence of a song in Horn OK Pleassss. However, Tanushree had claimed back then that the reports were false.

The accused were booked under IPC Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 509 (word, gesture or act meant to insult the modesty of a woman), but no arrest was made so far. She complained that no one supported her, including the producer.

DCP (zone IX) Paramjit Singh Dahiya confirmed to TOI that a B Summary report had been filed but declined to divulge details. Samee was caught on tape brushing aside Tanushree's story, saying that she must have been on her period. "He has always been disrespectful towards women, misbehaved with them and molested actresses", she said. I still believe btw that I will get justice and victory will be mine!

Mumbai police had also posted armed personnel outside Tanushree's residence after she said that MNS chief Raj Thackeray had threatened to carry out a "violent attack" on her when she accused his henchmen of vandalising her vehicle on the film's sets at Patekar's behest.
