Black comedy series Russian Doll is returning to Netflix. Lyonne's character in the series, Nadia Vulvokov, was a coder for a video game company who found herself trapped in a time loop, reliving her birthday over and over again in a Groundhog Day-esque scenario.

Aside from its generally favorable rapport among television critics, Russian Doll garnered a devoted following on social media, where show and Lyonne-themed memes have abounded.

So while the end of the first season might have seemed like a pretty good conclusion for the story, it seems like Lyonne and her collaborators always had more stories in mind.

Did Dobby survive the last film? 'Why does "Dobby" look like he just stumbled out of the bar at 3am, ' joked one Twitter user. Wobbling and flapping its arms, the creature can be seen walking quickly from the home before disappearing into the darkness.

Netflix just announced they've renewed the TV show for a second season, Variety reports. Suffice to say, it's getting a second season.

Lyonne, along with series co-creators Amy Poehler and Leslye Headland, reportedly pitched the series as a three-season show, and Lyonne reportedly has ideas for how season two will look.

For those who've seen the show, you can tell that focus paid off: Russian Doll is unashamedly odd, continually taking the story in unexpected directions, while sticking to snappy 30-minute episodes flawless for the Netflix platform. It seems likely that because of the show's popularity, increased attention will be paid to the development of the second season, which could lead to some spoilery revelations down the line. As for when Season 2 will debut, Lyonne's announcement didn't include any details about a premiere date.
