A new smart speaker with better audio quality: Amazon's new Echo device will reportedly have higher audio quality than its existing speakers. The demo models are cylindrical and wider than the current Echo so as to fit in at least four tweeters. Both Vesta and this high-end Echo speaker are said to be in development at Lab126, Amazon's research and development house. However, it has lost some ground to the Sonos One, Apple Inc. Google now has 31% of the market, while the rest have a combined 12%. The HomePod isn't selling just as Apple expected, and the organization as of late dropped the cost.

Amazon previously has worked on improving the Echo's sound by offering a separate subwoofer and a device that connects the speakers to a stereo. In September 2018, the company launched 15 new Alexa-enabled products, including a microwave. Amazon may have a much more interesting announcement up its sleeve in the near future, if a new report holds any water. The company also launches individual (generally less-anticipated) products throughout the year.

That's according to Bloomberg, which has been speaking to people familiar with Amazon's plans, but who want to remain anonymous for obvious reasons.

We reached out to Amazon, but a spokesperson said the company does not comment on "rumours or speculation".

According to reports, Amazon's robot is known internally as "Vesta", and was originally meant to be shown off this year, although it's supposedly not yet ready to be mass-produced. While Amazon could pick never to discharge the robot, as of late it has dismantled designers from different undertakings to chip away at it - a sign the organization intends to sell Vesta sooner or later. The very same cameras would likely also turn the device into a mobile Ring video camera, which would alert users of any nefarious going-ons while the robot patrols your home. The report describes the robot as a waist-high device that can navigate its surroundings using computer vision cameras. The machine can be summoned by voice.

Amazon has said nothing publicly about Vesta, but a year ago, Chief Executive Officer Jeff Bezos posted an Instagram photo of an Echo speaker taped to a Roomba vacuum cleaner.
