According to ESPN senior National Basketball Association insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Durant's four-year deal with the Nets is worth $164 million. The family relocated to West Orange when Irving was two years old.

The Warriors announced last week that they will retire Durant's No. 35. He promptly won the N.B.A Rookie of the Year Award, went on to win a championship with the Cavs in 2016, and won an Olympic Gold Medal while playing on Team USA in 2016.

Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant (35) enters the stadium before game five of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena. Kyrie Irving wore No. 2 with the Cavaliers and donned No. 11 with the Boston Celtics.

Roc Nation Sports - which represents Irving after the point guard switched agents on the eve of free agency - also tweeted out an announcement video. "Their determination to play together proved even stronger, in the end, than many league observers expected", writes Marc Stein.

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell Compares Bitcoin to Gold
President Trump has repeatedly argued that the US economy would be growing faster if the Fed lowered interest rates. Minutes from the last Federal Open Market Committee meeting, held mid-June, are scheduled to be released at 2 p.m.

The Brooklyn Nets have officially announced the signing of Durant (and Kyrie Irving), while Golden State has confirmed the addition of D'Angelo Russell via a sign-and-trade. While the deals had been a week ago, they were not considered official till now.

Changing teams won't be new for Durant, after he left the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Warriors three summers ago, but he will be wearing a new number for the first time since entering the NBA: No. 7.

Obviously Durant is up for a complete makeover as he recovers from a ruptured Achilles tendon and sets off on a new path.
