Man Utd are on the verge of signing Sean Longstaff from Newcastle.

The Serbian has been heavily linked with the Red Devils since last summer although the speculation has ramped up over the last week or so.

However, the Manchester Evening News claim Fernandes won't join United if Pogba is still at Old Trafford. United will certainly need to fill a hole in midfield if Paul Pogba gets his wish and completes a £150m move to Real Madrid or Juventus this summer.

It's said United are readying a £72million bid for the Serbia global this summer.

That's despite Lazio insisting their star performer would not be allowed to depart for anything less than £90m.

Calciomercato claim Lazio want to sell as quickly as possible.

Man Utd have been handed a boost in their pursuit if Leicester centre-back Harry Maguire.

The Evening Standard say United will not pay the world-record fee for the England global.

However, according to The Sun, Leicester chiefs privately accept Maguire will leave the King Power Stadium.

United have had a £70m bid for Maguire rejected, with the Foxes demanding over £75m. United reportedly met officials from Sporting to make progress on the deal this week and now reports by Italian website Alfredo Pedulla say the Portuguese club have found his replacement.

Last season, Bruno Fernandes was impressive for his club Sporting Lisbon scoring 19 goals in 31 appearances which paved ways for him to enter the national team. "Four-year contract, could be confirmed tomorrow".

Gone are the days of Galactico signings at Manchester United.

"But are understandably cynical about the fact Mino Raiola is his agent and Raiola has caused them problems already with Paul Pogba throughout his time at Old Trafford".

"I was told his agent travelled to United Kingdom to sound out the possibility of a move to the Premier League".

"Usually a commission on any transfer deal for an agent is between six and 7.5 per cent". I'm not afraid, I made a choice and I take it to the end."I aspire to play in the biggest clubs, now we will see what is proposed."I had chosen to leave Juventus for Southampton to have more playing time, I got it."I made a good impression in England, I had good returns at a certain time, so I hope clubs will not have a short memory."I stand by my plan, I chose to tell the leaders that I wanted to leave, there is no turning back."There is a risk, of course, but I know what I'm capable of, I'm 100 per cent and I'm going to prove that I can get back to my best."Some clubs may be more cautious, but they already know me".

"I think that's been the problem, because so far Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester United have shown willingness to at least pay the fee to Ajax, but not the commission to Raiola".

Now it seems that Solskjaer has come to the conclusion that it will be really hard for the club to hold onto Pogba against his will as a result of which they are trying to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
