The upcoming media-service provider which will launch in spring next year will be loaded with some 10,000 hours of content, including all episodes of 90s, hit "Friends", acting as a competition to Netflix, Hulu, and Disney Plus. In the meantime, HBO Go and HBO Now are both around already - and we'll go into more on how the services differ below.

NBC and HBO aren't the only new streaming players coming onto the scene.

Pricing details for the service have not yet been revealed, although Disney recently said its streaming offering would come in at $7 month - around half the price of a similar Netflix subscription.

Joining HBO Now and HBO Go, the new direct-to-consumer streaming service HBO Max will offer content exclusively created for the service as well as every single episode of Friends, among other shows. "Thanks for the memories, gang".

For example, we already know that Friends will be leaving US Netflix to move over the HBO Max, and that other '90s favourite The Fresh Prince of Bel Air will also be on the platform.
