Are you exhausted of your Switch's battery depleting within three hours while in the middle of a gaming session? That's right, the company made a fairly low-key announcement that the older Switch models will be updated with a slightly newer one that has a more powerful battery.

In comparison, the current Nintendo Switch has only 2.5 to 6.5 hours of battery life.

It could also have a new processor, too - we know from a recent listing with the USA regulator that Nintendo was planning to change the SoC (System on Chip), type of storage and CPU board in the Switch. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will last about 5.5 hours on the new console. The new Joy-Con colors will be available October 4. Of course, these new Joy-Con controllers are not going to be compatible with the Switch Lite, so you'll have to get a regular Switch or one of the refreshed models if you want to jump on that.

Today the Japanese arm of Nintendo announced a revision of the original Switch console.

R Kelly denied bail after pleading not guilty to sex charges
As for the direct allegations, Greenberg added that "there's no evidence that he's a risk to minors at all at this point". The decision to deny bond raised the possibility that the 52-year-old Kelly could spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Either way, as Euro Gamer notes, the new Switch will be available in Japan late August, and later in other countries. But don't expect the fabled Switch Pro with beefier performance.

But now Ninty has confirmed there will be another new Switch out this year, and it's good and bad news for fans. Unlike the Switch Lite, the launch of the new Switch - which is still called the Switch - is more of a minor upgrade.

For those who might still be debating over whether to invest in the Switch Lite, which is now scheduled to release this September, one of our own has written a handy guide that breaks down the console's benefits and who could stand to purchase one.
